Is the bike hire included in the price?
Yes it is! Do you really think that Peter Sagan has to travel (or pay) with his own bike when he comes to train in Mallorca with his team?
What bike will we use?
In 2023, we will be riding either on Trek Emonda SL6 PRO (7.3kg carbon bike, equipped with Shimano Ultegra groupset and Aeolus PRO 3 carbon wheels), or Canyon Ultimate SL8 (7.4kg carbon bike, with disc brakes, equipped with Shimano Ultegra groupset). More options (Trek Domane, Trek Emonda SLR 8, disc brakes, e-bike) are also available with extra costs. Find more information here : www.sacalobra.cc/bikes/
Can I bring my own bike?
Yes, you can. However, we recommend for you to ride on our full carbon bikes. Travelling with a bike is expensive and risky, bike can be lost, damaged or delayed. And don't worry about your riding position, our mechanic will reproduce the exact same settings you are used to at home (saddle height, angle, setback, etc), thanks to our Bikesettings.com tool.
Is there a discount for bringing my own bike?
Yes. A discount of 80 euros will be applied if you come with your own bike. However, we do not assume responsibility for the safety of or damage. You will also be responsible for any spare parts that may be used during the camp if you decide to come with your own bike.
Can I bring my own powermeter?
If you would like to bring your powermeter, we’re able to accommodate a few options. For crank arm powermeters, please verify the crank arm length is the same as on the bike hire and make sure it is Shimano compatible (mostly Stages brand only). We can also install pedal systems (Garmin, Assioma, Powertap, etc). If you have any questions, please contact us.
What frame size would you recommend for me?
With the registration form, we will send you a complete sizing guide to help you to pick the proper size/frame, based on several measurements (rider height, inseam, saddle height).
Do you provide pedals?
No! There are too many types of pedals/cleats, therefore we ask each rider to bring their own pedals and cycling shoes.
How are the brakes set up?
All our bikes are set up under European Standards. The front brake is controlled by lever on the left hand side of the handlebar, and the rear brake by the right hand lever.
Do you provide a saddle bag?
No, but you won't need one! Our team car will follow us on the road everyday. If you have a puncture, our mechanic will be there. Just like the pros!
