“I bring as many friends as I can convince to join!”
Let's give a voice to those who know us best : the riders! The Sa Calobra Cycling Club is a team, your team! Today, an interview with Steven, who talks about his experience at the Sa Calobra Cycling Club.
When did you start cycling?Steven Masley : I started cycling before I turned 18. I got a job at the local bike shop, got my father into it, and the rest is history. I’m turning 30 in a month, so it’s been 12 years now! Where did you find the Sa Calobra Cycling Club?
S.M I found it online. I was looking for a camp that ran over New Year’s, and this was the only one in Mallorca that did. It turned out to be the best choice I could have made—I’ve been coming back every year since. You have been here three times already. What makes you come back?
S.M The training is top-notch. With the amazing support staff, you can focus entirely on your efforts and hit new PRs. The camp is incredibly well-designed—from the routes to the food to the recovery. If you want to spend a vacation riding your bike, you can’t beat the Sa Calobra experience. Do you prepare specially for the camp?
S.M Not specifically. The camp motivates me to stay consistent and arrive strong, but I don’t do anything extra just for it. How do you feel about this camp?
S.M I enjoy it so much that I bring as many friends as I can convince to join! I always speak highly of it and recommend it to cyclists looking for a camp like this. I even wear the camp’s kit for every group ride—it makes you feel like part of the team, even when you’re back home. What will be your next cycling challenge after this camp?
S.M Maybe a foolish idea, but I plan to do a 300-mile ride a few weeks after the camp for my 30th birthday—300 miles for 30 years!
